The Women’s Economic Empowerment in Agriculture Knowledge Hub (WEE in Ag KH), with support from the HECA Regional Centre and the Kenya country team, celebrated its official launch in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 9 to 13, 2015. The learning event brought together 35+ staff from across 8 affiliates (Hong Kong, Novib, India, Italia, Intermon, South Africa, United States and Great Britain), 5 regions (LAC, SAF, WAF, HECA, ASIA) and 24 countries.

The workshop took participants through an incremental process. The journey started with hub members meeting face to face for the first time. It continued by gradually developing a common understanding of where Oxfam’s work on WEE in Ag currently stands, and then agreeing on the practical actions we need to undertake as a network in order achieve greater impact and consolidate Oxfam’s role as a leader of thought and action on women’s economic empowerment.

Read the communiques in English and French here. And check out the event's Box folder for videos, presentations and photos of the event.
