"Technologies for rural women in Africa" -- Invitation for comments on a new policy brief

UN Women is in the process of finalizing a policy brief on “Technologies for rural women in Africa ”. It focuses specifically on scaling up technology adoption with a gender lens in promoting agricultural gender equity while also catalyzing food and nutrition security.

In order to finalize it, UN Women would like to seek your feedback on the recommended policy actions for consideration of Governments and other development partners in Africa. The full policy brief is available here.

  1. Promote technologies for women, to women, with women
  2. Consider the nature of transfers: cash versus in kind transfer of technology
  3. Strengthen women’s land rights
