Event Description

Oxfam is part of the Steering Committee of an exciting conference: Shifting Norms, Changing Behaviour, Amplifying Voice: What Works? featuring entertainment education.

We are happy to announce that 10 abstract/proposal submissions from Oxfam were accepted, including:

  • 3 Pre-formed panels
  • 3 oral presentations
  • 2 poster presentations
  • 1 Skills building workshop
  • 1 multi-media presentation

You can find a full list of accepted submissions here. The selection process was highly competitive so well done to all those who were involved in developing (or commenting on!) successful submissions. There were more than 1,200 submissions and only approximately 300 were accepted.

If you submitted an abstract/proposal that was accepted and is not on the list, please let us know.

The WEE in Ag Knowledge Hub will award 2 scholarships to Oxfam staff working on, or considering, social norms change within their WEE interventions. Scholarships will cover registration and travel costs to the Summit.

Complete this application and send to Claudia Canepa at ccanepa@oxfam.org.uk by 19th February.

If you have had an abstract accepted for the Summit, you are also eligible for a scholarship from SBCC. Apply here by 12th February. You may still apply for the Oxfam scholarship.

In addition, as a result of Oxfam’s participation in the Steering Committee, conference organisers have agreed to invite youth groups in Indonesia to design and lead a plenary session on how youth engage in social change processes using SBCC methods. This is very exciting. Thanks to Laura, Ronald, Karoline, Kristi, Imogen and all others who sent us ideas on potential youth groups that could lead this session.

Please contact Claudia Canepa for  any further information on this event.
