Event Description

Our Voices, Perspectives and Experiences: Unpaid Care and Domestic Work

We believe the Pan African voice, perspectives and experiences are critical to ensure the Global South addresses the issue of unpaid care and domestic work (UCDW).

The dialogue will bring together WE-Care country programmes and WROs in Zimbabwe, Uganda and Ethiopia, along with allies and advocates in other countries in the region also working on unpaid care work. The space will afford participants an opportunity to share experiences, lessons learnt, milestones achieved, challenges encountered and map a way forward on how we can define our key unified ASK and speak with one Pan African VOICE to influence our governments, the AU, SADC and other regional mechanisms on UCDW and also challenge ourselves on how we can measure changes in policy and practice on UCDW.
