To have a clear understanding of enterprise development work- when do we choose this kind of intervention in our programming, what kind of impact is expected from such intervention, how we design such program, what are the entry points and what are the kinds of support needed at each stages of intervention.
To have a macro view of enterprise development work by looking at it from an investment perspective- what are the different intervention points and the different funds and the kind of supports available in Asia (in and outside of Oxfam).
To equip participants with tools and analytical skills in planning for a pipeline of investments and the ability to perform investment readiness assessment. Participants will experience first hand the analysis involved prior to setting up an enterprise and learn how to set up monitoring system to track both social indicators and business performance indicators.
To understand the role of private sector in enterprise development work- both as a trading partner and as a finance provider, Oxfam’s strategy around enterprise development and private sector, and negotiation techniques.
